Privacy policy

This page explains what Handoff Systems collects through handoffsystems.com, why, and what you can do about it. Handoff Systems is run by Travis Ruddy. “We” below means Handoff Systems.
What we collect
- When you request the free guide: your first name and email address. The form also sends the page you first landed on and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), so we can tell which links bring people to the guide.
- When you apply for the free build (on the First AI Hire page): your first name, email address, business name, team size, and your answers about the task, how often it happens, the tools you use, who would own it, and your progress with the guide. The same landing page and campaign details are sent too.
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, the optional subject, and your message.
How we use it
- Guide: we email you the guide right away and send a short series of follow-up emails about putting it to use. Your name and email are also added to our email contact list, which we may use to send you an occasional email from Travis.
- Free build applications: we use your answers to review your application and reply to you. A copy of the application is emailed to Travis, and you get a few emails about the application.
- Contact form: your message is emailed to Travis so he can reply. It is not added to the email list.
Where it is stored and who handles it
- Cloudflare hosts this site and runs the forms. Guide requests and free build applications, along with a record of the emails scheduled for you, are stored in Cloudflare’s data storage (Workers KV). Like any web host, Cloudflare also processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site.
- Resend sends our emails. It receives your name, your email address, and the emails we send you, and it holds our email contact list and any emails scheduled for later.
- Travis’s email inbox receives contact form messages and free build applications.
- Google Fonts supplies the site’s fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which can see your IP address.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies of its own. To keep track of the page you landed on and any campaign tags while you browse, the site saves them in your browser’s session storage. That clears when you close the tab, and it is only sent to us if you submit a form.
How to stop the emails
Every email in the guide and free build series has an Unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and confirm on the page that opens. That stops future emails and cancels any that are already scheduled. Many email apps also show their own unsubscribe button, which does the same thing. If a link ever doesn’t work, reply to any of our emails and ask to be removed. We keep a note that you unsubscribed so you are not emailed again.
Seeing, correcting, or deleting your information
To find out what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, send a request through the contact page. We handle these requests by hand and will reply to you.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you ask us to delete them.
We don’t sell your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the services listed above, which handle it to run this site and send our emails.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
